As a member of the media, I’m doing a story about the Catholic Church? Who should I contact for permission to film in a church, interview church leaders, etc.? All media inquiries regarding the Archdiocese of Toronto should be referred to the Office of Public Relations and Communications, 416-934-0606. I’m a film producer who would like to use a church as a location for filming religious scenes. Who should I contact?

Please contact Dr. Suzanne Scorsone, Director of the Archdiocese of Toronto’s Office of Research at 416-934-3400 ext. 565.

Is it possible to obtain a Congratulatory Letter from Archbishop Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, for an upcoming anniversary or other special occasion?

Yes. For 25th and 50th annviersaries and birthdays for those, aged 80 and up, Catholics in the Archdiocese of Toronto may request a congratulatory letter from the Archbishop of Toronto. Those interested need to provide the following information:

  • A letter from the couple/individual’s pastor, confirming they are Catholics of his parish.
  • Full name/s and mailing address of the receipient, date of special occasion.
  • If this is part of a larger family celebration, a third party may forward the request and provide their contact information for delivery of the letter.
  • A request for a congratulatory letter must be made at least one month in advance of the celebration.

What’s the best way to stay updated on the latest Archdiocesan news and events?

Can you tell me more about the Sunday Mass on CTV and how I can make a contribution to support this programming?

The Sunday Mass is broadcast on CTV every Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. for those unable to make their way to their local parish. To make a contribution and/or a prayer request, please write to The Sunday Mass, 1155 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M4T 1W2 and make your cheque payable to “The Sunday Mass”. A tax receipt will be issued for all donations. All prayer requests are forwarded to Msgr. Brad Massman. Unfortunately, at this present time, we are unable to accept donations by VISA/Mastercard.

Can you tell me more about the Daily TV Mass from St. Michael’s Cathedral?

The Daily Mass from St. Michael’s Cathedral airs weekdays on Vision TV and Salt & Light Television. This programming is produced by the National Catholic Broadcasting Council (NCBC). Contact the NCBC at 1-888-383-6277 to donate to the daily Mass or for additional programming information.
