St. Paul's Basilica was the scene of the third annual Legacy Society Lunch. The Society was created to acknowledge the generosity of parishioners who have included their Parish or favourite charity of the Archdiocese of Toronto in their Will or estate plan.
The afternoon opened with the celebration of Holy Mass by His Eminence, Thomas Cardinal Collins followed by an intimate lunch. Legacy Society members were then treated to a private sacred space tour of the Basilica by Fr. Vito Marziliano, Chairman of the Sacred Art & Architecture Committee of the Archdiocese of Toronto who was trained at the Beato Angelico School of Sacred Art in Milan, Italy. Fr. Vito’s tour helped to shed light on some of the symbolic messages and mysteries that lay hidden in the architectural and liturgical arrangement of our parishes. It was a wonderful opportunity for Legacy Society members to learn to appreciate our parishes in a new way.
If you have included your parish or favourite charity of the Archdiocese of Toronto in your Will or estate plan, but have not yet notified us, please do so. Through the Legacy Society, we would like to say a very special thank you and extend to you an invitation to attend future Legacy Society events. We have more exciting events planned. Please contact us for more information.
