Formation Programmes for Parishioners

“The Church as a whole and all her Pastors, like Christ, must set out to lead people out of the desert, towards the place of life, towards friendship with the Son of God, towards the One who gives us life, and life in abundance.”
- Homily for the beginning of the Petrine Ministry of the Bishop of Rome (24 April 2005)

The Office of Formation for Discipleship can assist pastors with the New Evangelization called for during this Year of Faith. The various workshops described here afford our people an opportunity to talk about the faith, to try to make sense of our experiences, to pose questions, and to discover ever more deeply the truth of the Gospel.

We are embarking on a long journey, one that extends well beyond the Year of Faith itself. Please keep your parishioners apprised of the faith formation opportunities that are available in this website.

As the year progresses, these workshops will rotate through the various parishes that have been able to make space available to us.

So many of us are searching for meaning in our ordinary lives, searching for the fullness of life but aware that self-concern seems primary. People who come to our parishes can be the first to whom we reach out so that they can “understand their Catholic faith more clearly and live it more eagerly.”

Winter programmes have ended. Dates & locations for the spring sessions will be posted soon.
