Holy Spirit Novena at
Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish
Our Lady of Good Counsel Caribbean Catholic Parish invites all who are interested in preparing for Pentecost 2008 like never before to attend a Holy Spirit Novena.
May 2 -11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

The novena in honour of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for light, strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian.
Come and bring your loved ones and friends to experience nine days of prayer, commitment, renewal and growth by participating in Holy Mass, praise & worship and spirited music. There will be gifted speakers from both the GTA and the Caribbean including Bishop Pearce Lacey.

St. Michael's Choir School's spring concert features Music of the Americas - music which has emerged over the centuries by composers from the "New World". Experience the moving music of our founder Msgr. John Edward Ronan; music of our recently-retired music director, Msgr. T. Barrett Armstrong and De profundis by our own composer in residence - Tomáš Dušatko. Enjoy the exuberant music of Brazilian Ernani Aguiar with its infectious rhythms. Works by Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, Morten Lauridsen, Imant Ramish, Nancy Telfer, Ruth Watson Henderson, and Healey Willan will also be included in this programme as the choirs take you on a musical tour of the Americas.
