The day starts with an outdoor Mass celebrated at the Polish Altar by Rev. Alex Kirsten, S.J., Director of the Shrine at 12:00 noon. At 2:00 p.m., there will be a procession of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the Living Rosary, with Archbishop Thomas Collins as Homilist, and finally, Benediction at the Papal Altar.
- Bring your rosary, family, lawn chair and blanket.
- Bring your group's banner, join in the procession.
- Sing Marian Hymns with the choir.
- Bring your lunch, have a picnic, then visit Canada's National Shrine to the Canadian Martyrs.

Helping Troubled Marriages
Retrouvaille Toronto will be hosting a session the weekend of September 25 - 27, 2009.
Originating in Quebec over 30 years ago, Retrouvaille is now an international Catholic program helping married couples that are experiencing difficulties in their relationship. It consists of one weekend residential session followed by a series of half-day sessions. Last summer Pope Benedict XVI commended Retrouvaille for its positive impact on marriage and the family.

Spiritual and Religious Care Visitor Training
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health offers ‘'Spiritual and Religious Care Visitor Training” for clergy/faith-group leaders and lay ministers from various religions/faith-groups to enhance their skills in visiting patients/clients in hospitals and other institutions.
The 7 week – 20 hours training will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., starting September 9 to October 21, 2009 and on Saturday, October 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Candidates are offered and required to do 10 hours of direct client care as part of the course. The course will address topics such as: theological foundations for spiritual and religious care in major world religions, overview of mental illness and addiction, suicide, listening skills, working with elderly, boundaries and ethics.
Registration Fee: $ 110.00. Last date to apply is August 28, 2009. A certificate of completion will be issued to the successful candidates at the end of the course.
