Becoming a Child...While Thinking About God!
September 27, 2007
The book--a collaborative effort by Fr. Gianni Carparelli and the students and staff of the school--is directed at both adults and children in an effort to explain the significance of God in their lives.
Written in simplistic, everyday language, and enhanced by student artwork, the book tackles common questions that children encounter while grappling with the notion of God, such as “Who is Jesus?” and “Why should I pray?”
“Becoming a Child” is designed to support the Religion and Family Life program of the Toronto Catholic District School Board by focusing on three major topics for three different age groups: the experience of friendship and communion (Grades 1 & 2); the art of listening, sharing and praying (Grades 3, 4 & 5) and the ability of helping and serving (Grades 6, 7 & 8).
