Don Bosco Among Us – Relic Tour

October 5, 2010 – 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
St. Benedict Church, Toronto.

A relic of St. John Bosco is coming to Toronto on October 5, 2010. His relic, contained in a life-sized statue, is on a six-year international pilgrimage in preparation for his 200th birthday in 2015.

This relic tour is a reverse kind of pilgrimage where, instead of people going to the sanctuary to venerate the saint, the saint comes to the people. The relic tour is traveling through 130 countries where the Salesians continue their founder's mission.

St. John Bosco was honoured by Pope John Paul II with the title Friend and Teacher of Youth. In Canada he is also one of the patron saints of Catholic educators.
