Nine Pilgrimages at Magnificat

The "Magnificat" Charismatic Prayer Community welcomes all people to visit and pray at the Oratory or walk the outdoor way of the cross. Magnificat invites you to participate in one of the nine pilgrimages for 2010, organized on each Sunday of July and August. We start on July 4th with the 7th anniversary celebration of the Oratory of Jesus, King of Mercy.  Then follow July 11th, 18th and 25th.  Then the Sundays in August 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.

Parish groups could take the opportunity to invite others with them and so spread the Divine Mercy Devotion. PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

1:00 p.m.  Welcome, Worship and Praise, Rosary (confessions).
2:00 p.m.  Outdoor Stations of the Cross.
3:00 p.m.  Solemn Chaplet, Holy Eucharist, Benediction, Laying of hands.
5:00 p.m.  You are welcome to use the grounds and facilities for a picnic.

No fee is required. An offertory collection will be taken up.

Through St. Faustina, His "secretary" Jesus gives His offer of infinite mercy to the people of our time. There are three tangible tools:  the picture image, the chaplet and the novena with Divine Mercy Sunday (now promulgated in the liturgical year).  We are dedicated to spread this powerful and consoling message and have the dream that the oratory at Regina Mundi will develop into a national shrine.  Some quotes:  “I have opened my Heart as a living fountain of mercy. Let all souls draw life from it. Let them approach this sea of mercy with great trust.” (Diary, 1520)

I never reject a contrite heart. (Diary, 1485) Sooner would heaven and earth turn into nothingness than would my mercy not embrace a trusting soul.  (Diary, 1777)

Through the pilgrimage we hope to be God’s instrument to bring God’s peace to many.

For more information please contact Magnificat Charismatic Prayer community, a Covenanted Catholic Community, Regina Mundi – Nazareth House of Mary, 19309 Warden Avenue, Queensville.  905-478 - 4264  website:   www.reginamundi.ca

Linda’s Walk for Mental Health
5k Fundraising Walk to Help Homeless Women Rebuild Lives

Saturday, August 14, 2010 - 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
St. Bonaventure Church, 1300 Leslie Street, Toronto.

Linda was only 40 years old when she died after living for years on the streets of Don Mills. The streets were Linda’s home because she lived with mental illness and accommodation options for women who struggle with the never-ending cycle of, depression, loneliness and addiction that often accompany mental illness are very limited.

While Linda’s death was tragic she was the catalyst for the creation of St. Clare Inn; a safe place where women like Linda can live with dignity while journeying towards wellness and independence.

On Saturday, August 14, we invite you to join our inaugural walk for St. Clare Inn and help care for women like Linda. Your support will keep Linda’s legacy of hope alive, increase public awareness about the realities of living with mental illness and give women like Linda a place to call home.

Please join us. Go to www.stclareinn.org for details on how to participate. All proceeds support St. Clare Inn. The Inn is sponsored by the Friends of Saint Francis, charitable registration number 88498 6910 RR0001.
