JAMES MACMILLAN - Scottish composer and conductor.
James MacMillan is one of today's most successful composers. Less well-known is his weekly activity as a parish-based musician, and his close ties to the Dominican Order. His music draws on his Scottish
heritage, his Roman Catholic faith and social conscience, together with influences from Far Eastern and Eastern European music. He will speak on faith and music in the twenty-first century.

April 28, 2008 will mark the 150th Anniversary of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School. The school community is planning a weekend-long series of events to celebrate. Events include individual class reunions on Friday, April 25th, an Open House at the school the afternoon of Saturday, April 26th from 12 noon to 4 p.m. followed by a Banquet at the Toronto Marriott Downtown hotel at 7 p.m., a Mass at OLPH Church on Sunday April 27th at 11a.m. and a 9:30 a.m. School Mass at OLPH Church on Monday April 28. There is something for everyone who is connected with the school.

Pilgrimage of the Ark of the New Covenant
through the Archdiocese of Toronto
March 23 to 29, 2008
In preparation for the 49th International Eucharistic Congress, the Ark of the New Covenant is embarking on a 1700 km, 64 day walking pilgrimage through five national shrines.
The journey begins March 23rd, Easter Sunday, in Midland with a mass at St. Margaret's Parish at 11 a.m. and then a blessing and official departure ceremony at Martyrs' Shine at 3 p.m. Bishop Peter Hundt, Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Toronto and Bishop Pierre-André Fournier, Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Quebec will be in attendance.
Begin the Easter season with a deepened experience of Eucharist and community by joining in parish celebrations throughout the week as the Ark makes its way through the Archdiocese's northern region, including Alliston, Orillia, Brechin, Beaverton and Sutton West. The walk from St. Margaret's to Martyrs' Shrine is open to the public. If you would like to join in at any other point, please contact the Congress at: arche@cei2008.ca.
