This Sacred reading provides an opportunity to read aloud the Word of God taking time to pause, reflect and pray together. In the coming year, we will encounter Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, summarizing the foundation of Christian life.

Visiting Choir at St. Michael's Cathedral

The Saint Mary's College Women's Choir, a select 30-voice ensemble, will be on tour March 9-15, travelling to Fort Wayne, Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Toronto. The choir has toured cities in the U.S.A. and Canada every other spring for 25 years.

Walking God's Path series – Christian Jewish Dialogue
The Christian Jewish Dialogue of Toronto is again sponsoring the Walking God's Path series this year. The series seeks to stimulate real conversation between Jewish and Christian congregations.
The theme of HOW JEWS AND CHRISTIANS PERCEIVE JESUS will be discussed on March 11, 2009, at Beth Tzedec (1700 Bathurst - south of Eglinton).
A closing program – WHERE ARE WE GOING AND HOW DO WE GET THERE? – will be held on March 18, 2009, 7:30 p.m. at Beth Tzedec. It will feature a discussion between Rev. Paul McGill, C.S.B., retired Anglican Archbishop Terence Finlay, and Rabbi Erwin Schild.

Lenten Mission 2009
“My Vocation is Prayer”
March 22-25, 2009 – 7:30 p.m. each night

St. Francis of Assisi Parish invites you to join for their Lenten Mission. The theme of the Mission is “My Vocation is Prayer”, words spoken by the late Cardinal Francis Xavier Van Thuan during his 13 years of prison in Vietnam.
Mrs. Elizabeth Nguyen, sister of the late Cardinal, will lead in three extraordinary evenings of preparation and reflection. The Mission will begin with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Thomas Collins on Sunday, March 22, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. Elizabeth will join us as our special guest speaker on Monday through Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
On Thursday, March 26, 2009, a Penitential Service for all those seeking the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be held. The service starts at 7:00 p.m.
