Ordinandi Dinner 2007
"Come follow me, and I will make you fishers of people"
March 6, 2007
Grew up in El Salvador; came to Canada when he was 17. Discovered God's call while on a pilgrimage in Denver, Colorado. Entered the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary in 1997 after the World Youth Day (WYD) pilgrimage in Paris. He will be ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toronto for the service of the Universal Church.
Was intrigued by the priesthood as a young boy. Relative happiness was enjoyed in careers with the RCMP and the Navy, yet something was always missing. That “something” has revealed itself in the form of God's call to serve as a priest for the Military Ordinariate of Canada.
Born in Malta; immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of 11. First began to consider the priesthood at a young age, but did not seriously discern his vocation until after several years of professional life. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and after a time of prayer and reflection, he decided to enter St. Augustine's Seminary in 2001, and now looks forward with joy and thanksgiving to serve God and the people of the Archdiocese of Toronto as a priest.
Felt called to the priesthood at the age of 10, after knowing the life and vocation of St. Maximilian Kolbe. However, he responded to this call much later at the WYD in 1995, when John Paul II invited the young people not to be afraid to 'cast their nets'. He entered the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary in 1999, and now will be ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toronto.
Felt the love of the Risen Lord when he entered the Neo Catechumenal Way in his home parish, in Nicaragua, which changed his life. This influenced him greatly into considering the priesthood while attending Denver's WYD 1993. He entered the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary in 1997. He is happy to put his life at the service of the Archdiocese of Toronto for the 'New Evangelization' as a diocesan priest.
Was born and lived in Italy until he answered his call to the priesthood in August 1997, on the occasion of a vocational meeting with the founders of the Neo Catechumenal Way during the WYD in Paris. At the age of 19 he entered the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary of Toronto, and he is now looking forward to serving Christ as one of his priests in the Archdiocese.
