His Grace, Thomas Collins Ordains Six Priests
For Service in the Archdiocese of Toronto
1,000 Guests Expected at St. Michael’s Cathedral May 12
TORONTO (May 10, 2007) On Saturday, May 12, the Archdiocese of Toronto will celebrate the ordination of six new priests for service to the community. His Grace, Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, will preside at the ceremony, which will take place at St. Michael’s Cathedral in downtown Toronto at 10:00 a.m.
A new special event is being held prior to this year’s ordinations. The Office of Vocations will hold a breakfast for current seminarians and those interested in learning more about the priesthood. Close to 100 people will attend this gathering, before making their way to St. Michael’s Cathedral for the ordinations of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto’s newest priests.
Schedule of Events – Saturday, May 12, 2007
7:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Pre-Ordination Breakfast – informal discussion led by Archbishop Thomas Collins on topics relating to priestly ordination. 100 people expected to attend.
Location: Marriott Toronto Downtown Eaton Centre – 525 Bay St. (open to the media)
10:00 a.m. Ordination of Six Priests for the Archdiocese of Toronto.
