The English Sector Commission for Social Communications of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops has prepared five texts as suggested parish resources/bulletin inserts on Families and the Media, which are being released as part of the celebrations surrounding World Communications Day, 20 May 2007.
The five information pages are intended to:
- help families navigate through the various forms of media found in the home.
- provide parents, teens and younger children with references to obtain further information about using the media in our secular society.
The texts in their suggested order are Families and Advertising, Families and the Internet, Families and Movies, Families and the News and Families and Television. These comprehensive resources can be downloaded, printed and used by parishes and families in your community.
