February 2 is the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life. Did you know that there are 120 different religious orders represented in the Archdiocese of Toronto? Today we join in prayer to celebrate all consecrated men and women and pray for more vocations to the consecrated life.
Throughout the Year of Consecrated Life, we will feature a number of religious to shed light on their important ministries in the Archdiocese of Toronto.
Today we would like to share the story of Sr. Maria Louise Edwards, CSSF. Sr. Maria Louise took her first vows with the Felician Sisters in August 2014. She now serves as the Mission Integration Coordinator at Holy Name of Mary College School in Mississauga.
Hailing from New Jersey, Sr. Maria Louise was once a full-time actress and model in New York City. But in the midst of worldly success, she still felt something was missing in her life. The missing piece was Jesus.
Check out the video below for her full story and to learn more about her important work in Catholic education in our archdiocese.
