Office of Formation for Discipleship

A Church of grateful missionary disciples who actively encounter Christ in Word and Sacraments and share their God-given gifts in joyful service as living witnesses to Christ in the world.

The mandate of this office is to assist the Archbishop in his role as chief teacher of the faith in the Archdiocese.

We work to form grateful missionary disciples by:

  • Assisting pastors, clergy, and lay leaders by sharing resources, fostering networks, and providing formation opportunities;
  • Supporting parish efforts by offering diocesan and regional formation opportunities for the lay faithful;
  • Collaborating with various partners (such as religious orders, agencies, educational institutions, and lay movements) through consultations, information sharing, events and initiatives.

Parish ministries we support:

Evangelization, catechesis, sacramental preparation, liturgical formation, social justice, ministry with children, maturing adults and families, ministry to the sick, homebound and bereavement, stewardship and parish vitality
