Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.  – 1 Peter 3: 10

Why Volunteer

We are all called to use our gifts and talents to strengthen and nurture our Church family and care for our brothers and sisters. Volunteering is a chance to be an active part of your parish, socialize with your church community and give back, in time and talent, the abundance that has been given to you.

Who Can Volunteer

Across the Archdiocese of Toronto, parishes have volunteer opportunities called 'Ministry Positions', each with their own responsibilities and requirements. Leaders at each parish help determine which Ministry Positions are best suited to parishioners.

Due to risk and responsibility, some parishioners are excluded from certain Ministry Positions, based on:

  • Age
  • Criminal Record
  • Induction into the Catholic Faith
  • Education and/or Experience in Theology

Where You Can Volunteer

Most volunteer opportunities occur in local parishes and missions of the Archdiocese. Contact your parish office to find out what's available.
