The United Nations General Assembly in 2005 designated January 27^th as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. To mark this day, the local Jewish community and Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies Toronto has organized a community event with Candle Lighting Ceremony to honour the survivors and to remember those who lost their lives during the WWII.  The evening will include a keynote address that will introduce The Legacy Portrait Project.
