The United Nations General Assembly in 2005 designated January 27th as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. To mark this day, the local Jewish community and Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies Toronto has organized a community event with Candle Lighting Ceremony to honour the survivors and to remember those who lost their lives during the WWII. The evening will include a keynote address that will introduce The Legacy Portrait Project.
All are cordially invited to stand in solidarity with the Jewish Community at this vigil.
