Precious Blood parish came into being thanks to the foresight and generosity of Senator Frank O’Connor, K.C.S.G. First housed in a former Methodist church, Precious Blood served the small Wexford community of approximately 45 families until parish growth called for the building of a new church in 1957. We expanded seating to 800 people. Over the years, the church has undergone many improvements and renovations. In 2010 we provided full church and basement access for people with physical disabilities. This work was only possible through the generosity of parishioners. More recently, we have undertaken significant and urgent restoration of the church’s foundation.

With the funds we will receive in the Family of Faith campaign, other important needs will be addressed. Our roof needs to be replaced. Our church interior — including the ceiling, needs to be repainted. We need to update and improve our lighting.

We look forward to this next exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese remembering that we are family, brothers and sisters in Christ!
