2021 Parish Ministry Conference: With Burning Hearts

2021 Parish Ministry Conference

With Burning Hearts (October 26-30, 2021)

The account of the journey to Emmaus is one of accompaniment, recognition, and proclamation. The Risen Jesus walked with the two disciples, told them about Himself in the scriptures, and ate with them. “They said to each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us…’” (Luke 24:32) After they encountered Jesus, they went back quickly to tell the good news of Jesus to the others.

The new Directory for Catechesis asks us to do the same. To go out as those who ‘echo the faith’, to engage with people of all ages and at all stages of life through our words and actions, giving witness to the Good News.

The 2021 Parish Ministry Conference is a virtual, interactive place where all in parish ministry can gather to pray, learn, and be refreshed in understanding how every parish ministry is catechetical, and how we might go forward in the pandemic and post-pandemic context. With two engaging keynote sessions and speakers in four practical sessions, we will explore ways to help parishioners become more vibrant Christians who know their faith and live it to the fullest. The conference will feature ongoing ministry formation, networking, and Lectio Divina with Cardinal Thomas Collins.
