Who is hosting this event?
This event is being hosted by the Office of Formation for Discipleship at the Archdiocese of Toronto.

 

Who can attend this conference?
Clergy, parish ministry leaders, coordinators, and volunteers are invited to attend this conference.  Ministry areas include: bereavement, catechesis and sacramental preparation, family life, liturgy, maturing adults, ministry to the sick and homebound, and parish vitality and stewardship.

 

Will the conference be in person or online?
The conference will be an online event.

 

How do I register for the conference?

How much does it cost to attend the conference?
The conference is being provided at no cost to you through the generous support of donors and sponsors because they recognize the vital importance of your contribution of time and talent to vibrant parish life.

 

How can individuals with special needs register and participate in the conference?
Everyone is welcome to attend the conference! Any accessibility requests should be directed to Enza Rattenni or Annalisa Parente by October 12 at formation@archtoronto.org or 416-934-3400, ext. 523. Every effort will be made to assist you with registration and participation.

 

When does registration close?
Registration closes Friday, October 23, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.

 

Will I have access to all the livestream sessions?
Yes, you will have access to all livestream sessions and the Live Exhibitor Showcase. In Whova, go to the “Agenda” tab and view the list of sessions scheduled for each day. If the session hasn’t occurred yet, you can click “Add to My Agenda” to put the session on your own personal agenda.

 

Will all of the sessions be recorded?
We will be recording the keynote and workshop sessions, which will be made available after the conference for a limited time. Breakout group discussions within the workshops will not be recorded. You will be asked to consent to a media waiver prior to the conference. If you do not consent, we ask that you deactivate your camera and microphone prior to the session.

 

Can I register other members from my household?
Yes, you can register yourself and others who live in your household, as long as you are using one device. Please include the name, email address, role, and the parish name for each additional person in your household. Your primary email address will serve as authentication to gain access and view the conference in the Whova Apps.

If other members of the household would like to simultaneously access the conference with different devices, each of these members should register separately.

 

Why do you need my personal information and that of others who will join online with me?
If there are any unforeseen changes to the conference, we will need to communicate this to everyone in a timely manner. Please be assured the information on the registration form will not be shared and will be kept in the strictest confidence. If you have any questions, please contact the Archdiocese of Toronto’s Privacy Officer at https://www.archtoronto.org/en/our-community/privacy-policy/.

 

How will I be able to access the conference on Whova?
To access the conference, you will have to create an account with Whova using the same email address that you used to register for the conference.

If you don’t have a Whova account already, please create one by following the instructions below:

  1. Click one of the following links:
    1. From your desktop device, use the Whova Desktop (web) APP
    2. From your mobile device, download the Whova Mobile App
  2. Look for the statement “Don't have an account? Sign up here” and click that link.
  3. Fill in the form with the same email address you used to register for the event, enter your password when prompted, then click “Sign Up”.
  4. Once you have signed into Whova, go to “My Events”, and click on the 4th Annual Parish Ministry Conference: With Burning Hearts. If it does not come up automatically, use the search function to type in the name of the conference.

 

Will I be able to interact and network with other participants?
Yes! In order to network with other participants, you will need to opt to share your profile with others during the registration process.

If you choose this option, you will be able to send messages to other participants through the “Attendee” section and also organize a meet-up to discuss conference topics on the “Community” board. For more guidance visit Whova User Guides.
