Family Life Ministry

"The future of humanity passes by way of the family" Familiaris Consortio (#86), Pope John Paul II

We assist in the development and support of parish family ministries so that families become the domestic churches they are called to be, where the Lord gathers us, forms us, and acts in the world.

We provide parish leaders with resources, networks, and formation in the following areas:

  • strengthening marriages
  • equipping parents in raising their children in the faith and fostering a culture of life
  • engaging families to participate in parish life

We also complement parish efforts by providing families:

  • information and resources
  • regional or diocesan events

We also strive to foster greater collaboration between partners (such as religious orders, agencies, and lay movements) and parishes in support of their family life ministries.

Resources:

We know that there is an overwhelming amount of resources out there and that it might be hard to know where to start. Our office wants to make it easier for you and so has compiled a list of resources at all stages of your ministry (Getting Started, Growing, and Going Deeper). Feel free to peruse our list of resources for Family Ministry by selecting one of the options below.
