Background
The Saint Michael Award provides an opportunity to recognize distinguished, faithful service and examples of outstanding witness in the Archdiocese of Toronto. In 2025, we are expanding the number of award recipients. Eight awards, two for each pastoral region of the archdiocese (Central, North, East and West), will be presented to an individual, couple, group or organization as part of archdiocesan celebrations in late September relating to the Solemnity of Saint Michael.
Categories
Nominations may be submitted in one of the following categories, recognizing outstanding commitment, faithful service and overall Christian witness:
As noted above, two recipients per region will honoured. Please note, not all categories will necessarily be reflected in awards every year.
Nominations
Nominations for the Saint Michael Award are to be completed and submitted by pastors of the Archdiocese of Toronto. The deadline for 2025 nominations to be submitted is Friday, June 27, 2025. Please note that those nominated in 2024 who did not receive the Saint Michael Award remain eligible to be considered in 2025. Should you wish to do so, you are kindly asked to resubmit nominations for those who may have been considered in the past.
