With your support of the Family of Faith campaign we will provide: • our infirm and elderly parishioners with spiritual and sacramental care; • replace our front steps and build an elevator so that all our parishioners can access our church and hall; • renovate washrooms to make them accessible for people with special needs. We look forward to this exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese, remembering that we are family, brothers and sisters in Christ!
Our Parish Goal: $255,000 - Amount Pledged: $334,540 (131% of goal). Our Lady of Fatima parish will celebrate our 25th anniversary on May 13th, 2015. During our quarter-century, we have successfully organized many traditional Portuguese celebrations devoted to Our Lady of Fatima, the Fraternity of the Holy Spirit and Santo Cristo. With our parish's share from the Family of Faith campaign, we will replace our snow and garbage removal truck, which is 17 years old. Owning a truck for snow and garbage removal allows us to save the amount it would cost to hire a company to do this work for us. We will also repair our parking lot, which is cracked and uneven. Finally, we will replace the sinks, faucets and counters in our parish hall washrooms. These facilities have not been updated since our parish was built 25 years ago. We will replace our faucets with automatic ones in order to avoid wasting water. We look forward to this next exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese remembering that we are family, brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our Parish Goal: $485,000 - Amount Pledged: $581,242 (120% of goal). Our Lady of Fatima Shrine came into being through the dedicated service of Father Kenneth McDonnell, the first pastor at the parish, and his devotion to Our Lady. First housed in a small wooden church serving a community of 400 families in 1953, the parish grew to serve 1300 families and became the church that we see today. After 60 years as a parish community we remain committed to our faith and our Church. We all take pride in Our Lady of Fatima Shrine and want to give parishioners the most comfortable and prayerful space as possible. With the funds we will receive in the Family of Faith campaign, important needs of our parish will be addressed. The roof needs to be water-proofed. The elevator needs to be replaced in order to provide greater accessibility for our parishioners. We also want to proceed with our plans to install an air conditioning system. A portion of the proceeds will also help pay down our debt to meet our outstanding financial obligations to the archdiocese. We look forward to this next exciting phase of our parish and the archdiocese, remembering that we are family, brothers and sisters in Christ!
Our Parish Goal: $115,000 - Amount Pledged: $269,413 (234% of goal). Our Lady of Good Counsel parish is a strong and energetic faith-filled community. We have been a shining light for the whole Caribbean community in the Greater Toronto area. Thanks to our parishioners we run many programs and grow together as a family of faith. Our church building requires upgrades to ensure that it remains a comfortable and welcoming place for us all. We will continue to work with the archdiocese to assess options for relocating, if possible; but for now our priority is our existing location. We will need to establish our priorities as we move forward with the following projects as funds become available: • Repair the church windows; • Upgrade the electrical and HVAC systems; • Refurbish the lower level of our church including the washrooms and kitchen; • Improve accessibility into the church by installing a ramp. We will also pay down our debt to the archdiocese. We look forward to this exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese, remembering that we are family - brothers and sisters in Christ!
Our Parish Goal: $165,000 - Amount Pledged: $286,110 (173% of goal). Our Lady of Good Health Parish began through the tireless efforts of senior members of the Catholic community and clergy. We continue to grow and thrive with the on-going support and assistance from so many parishioners who devote their time and talent. Our parish community is grateful to be provided worship space in two churches. However, we lack space of our own for gatherings, programs and sacramental preparation. We will use part of our share of the campaign proceeds for this purpose. Our youth are so very important to the life our community. Therefore, we also plan to further develop our youth leaders and provide training for lay ministers in our parish. With your financial support we will be able to move forward with these important initiatives and continue to grow as thriving faith community. We look forward to your support and generosity.

On August 6, 2000, His Eminence Aloysius Cardinal Ambrozic blessed the current Our Lady of Grace parish premises including the chapel, the parish offices, the sacristy and the adjoining meeting rooms. Thanks to the devoted efforts of our many parish volunteers, our faith community celebrates Mass in a beautiful church. Visual renderings of our faith's rich tradition, including statues of saints, angels and Our Lady, instruct the young and inspire believers. With the funds that we receive from the Family of Faith campaign, we will pay down our mortgage, owed to the archdiocese. We look forward to this next exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese, remembering that we are family - brothers and sisters in Christ!
Our Parish Goal: $335,000 - Amount Pledged: $560,655 (167% of goal). Here at Our Lady of Guadalupe parish, we have experienced tremendous growth through our almost thirty-year existence. We are very fortunate to have a strong community of faith with many gifts and talents. These blessings have allowed for us to evangelize, be witnesses of God's love, and help our brothers and sisters of Christ in time of need. Our generous parishioners have allowed our parish to achieve many goals, such as paying off the mortgage, replacing the pews and installing air conditioning. As a parish family, we want everyone to be able to participate in the sacraments, parish activities and groups. In order to ensure that all people are able to worship comfortably at Our Lady of Guadalupe, with the funds we receive from the Family of Faith campaign we will invest in making our church building wheelchair accessible. Our Parish Goal: $180,000 - Amount Pledged: $237,357 (132% of goal). St. Patrick's and Our Lady of Lourdes is a strong and energetic faith-filled community. This year, St. Patrick's parish reaches a significant milestone as we celebrate 150 years. Thanks to our parishioners, we run many programs and grow together as a family of faith. With the funds that we receive from the Family of Faith campaign, we will restore the brickwork at St. Patrick's. The bricks on our church, which was built in 1895, are deteriorating. We will also replace the church roof shingles at Our Lady of Lourdes in order to prevent leaks in the future. We look forward to this exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese, remembering that we are family - brothers and sisters in Christ!
Our Parish Goal: $430,000 - Amount Pledged: $1,376,179 (320% of goal). A recent building condition assessment indicated our church building is in need of much work, particularly to the exterior walls and foundation. Three main projects require immediate attention. Brick and Stone Masonry Several locations on all four of our exterior walls show brick and stone masonry deterioration. The west wall requires masonry restoration. The chimney needs special attention, as does the court area, where the entrance ramp and brick paving cause water to accumulate and seep into the basement. Our accessibility ramp will need to be broken up and replaced to meet code. The east wall has cracks in the exterior floor tiles of the entrance porch and the stone steps leading to it. The stone columns and their bases are showing surface deterioration and streaking, and the decorative stone elements are stained. The north wall is showing brick discolouration and many crawl space vents are plugged with sand and dirt. Where the south wall of Lynch Hall meets the west wall of the church, bricks are chipped and broken, and there is joint degradation and discolouration. Bricks at the piers are also showing discolouration, joint cracking or gaps. Basement and Foundation Portions of the foundation walls outside and in the basement are in poor condition. One section of the rubble stone foundation under the old church shows water stains and signs of mold. In other areas, frost and moisture penetration are evident. By excavating outside the church we can waterproof the foundation to prevent future degradation. Parking Lot and Retaining Wall As a result of pooling water, the stone retaining wall has been damaged and must now be taken down and rebuilt. As well, the parking lot asphalt surfaces need to be removed and re-graded. Holes will be drilled and capped with grills to create systems that can quickly drain water and prevent ponding. We will replace our parking lot lighting with LED lights. Motion detector lamps in under-lit areas can also be added to strengthen the building’s security and light the way for parishioners and visitors coming and going after dark.
Our Parish Goal: $136,500 - Amount Pledged: $462,158 (338% of goal). Mount Carmel parish will celebrate its 50th year of service to Toronto's Chinese Catholic community in 2015. Over the years, the church has undergone many improvements and renovations. We have accomplished great things because of the commitment and generosity of our parishioners and many others from our community.. With the funds our parish will receive in the Family of Faith campaign, we will invest in two important projects. Funds will contribute toward the projected $500,000 cost of installing culturally and architecturally appropriate canopies at the entrances to our community centre and church. In addition, we will continue to make our facilities accessible for those in our parish who require mobility assistance. Our elevator is no longer repairable due to its age and must be replaced at considerable cost. These projects are key to the vitality of our parish and will require an extraordinary effort to be realized in the years to come. After seventy-five years of serving our family of faith, the church building requires a significant investment in infrastructure and accessibility upgrades. In 2012, a feasibility study was conducted to identify parishioner support for proposed changes that would strengthen and enhance our parish. Through these conversations and after prayerful consideration, Father Nino and the Building Committee finalized an exciting plan to improve our facilities. These important renovations and enhancements will preserve our beautiful church and serve to proactively address our needs for the future. Many of these changes are necessary to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), which set accessibility standards to be realized within the next ten years. Now, we have embarked on our own capital campaign to restore and renew our church. Our plan is twofold: to restore elements in our existing building and to renew building areas to fulfill future needs. We are blessed by the generosity of those before us who have provided us with our beautiful church. However, some areas now require significant renovations to ensure all of our current and future parishioners can fully celebrate the Gospel of our Lord. As we look forward to witnessing our parish's next seventy-five years, we see opportunity for enhancements that will ensure safety and accessibility for all of our parishioners. These projects will have a long-term impact for future generations. With a portion of the funds raised from the Family of Faith campaign, we will continue to repair our leaking flat roofs, and pay back parish debt accumulated to improve the main flat roof. Our parish office is currently situated in the rectory. We will renovate space in the church and move the office into that space so that we may better serve our parishioners and the community. Our Lady of the Annunciation continues to grow as a vibrant, committed and active parish. We have lots to look forward to as we continue to be a welcoming, friendly and accessible place for all who worship and visit this place. Our biggest challenge is to properly accommodate the ever-increasing number of people who become engaged in the life and ministries of the parish. We cannot do it without your financial support. With your support of the Family of Faith campaign, we will: • Improve the church accessibility to accommodate the growing needs and demands of the parish; • Relocate parish office to the church; • Expand meeting space for parish groups; • Hire a youth ministry coordinator to provide programs and activities for our youth. Our parish is known for its support of our Catholic charities and community outreach programs such as the Churches-on-the-Hill Food Bank, the annual canned food drive, St. Vincent de Paul, Foreign Missions, numerous humanitarian relief programs and Meals on Wheels. The parish works to fulfil God’s mission by caring for our own parishioners and helping to care for the broader community in all circumstances. We have identified two significant areas of focus for the next five years; first, ministry for parishioners of all ages and second, repairs, renovations and refurbishment. Our parish is blessed with an abundance of young families seeking spiritual guidance for parents, youth and children. Many seniors who have served the parish for decades need programs that build community and sustain relationships. We wish to enhance and expand our ministries to meet the changing spiritual needs of our parish. We constructed a barrier-free washroom on the main floor and upgraded the hall washrooms at a cost of $105,000. Our parish community rose to the occasion, and fundraised $900,000 to cover the cost of the washrooms, the rectory, and elevator. Unfortunately, the elevator project had to be postponed as the church roof developed serious leaks and had to be replaced in 2009. This required $535,000. The current parish debt is $436,000. We will implement programs where church teachings are brought to life in dynamic ways, allowing youth to live a life joyfully immersed in the church and not simply obedient to her. And finally, we will provide experiences of encounter where youth have the opportunity to meet God face to face, wherein they will begin a personal relationship with the most holy trinity. b. Senior Ministry: This active group will share its experience, wisdom and faithful servitude in St. Gertrude's parish. With the funds that we receive from the Family of Faith campaign we will engage people in their faith through social activities at the parish. We will also increase the lay involvement in the liturgy, as well as youth involvement in liturgy and music. We are mindful of the parishioners in our parish who have mobility issues. For this reason, we will be renovating our washrooms to make them wheelchair-accessible. We will also build a lift for access to the parish hall. Along with the other area parishes whose students attend St. Theresa's High School in Midland, we will contribute to an annual $1,000 scholarship for a student pursuing post-secondary studies. We look forward to this exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese, remembering that we are family - brothers and sisters in Christ!

Thanks to our parishioners we run many programs and grow together as a family of faith. Our Catholic faith teaches us that at the end of time our bodies will rise from the dead. We must show respect to the bodies of the deceased, not only because they were temples of the Holy Spirit, but because they were founding members of this parish. With the funds we receive from our Family of Faith campaign, we will restore the cemetery on the grounds of our church. As a parish family, we want to ensure we provide a welcoming place where we gather to worship our Lord and foster our spirit of community and outreach. Our recently completed building condition report identified numerous shortcomings in our building. We will identify the most urgent priorities and address these issues as funds become available. We look forward to this exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese, remembering that we are family - brothers and sisters in Christ!

Our Parish Goal: $1,500,000 - Amount Pledged: $1,568,256 (104% of goal). Our plan is to meet the needs of our growing parish through expanding our programs at St. John Vianney parish for: YOUTH MINISTRY: 1. March for Life 2. Steubenville 3. Lift Jesus Higher Rally, MUSIC MINISTRY: 1. Singers and Musicians 2. Rhythm & Rhyme 3. Theatre Group, SOCIAL OUTREACH MINISTRY: 1. Lay Pastoral 2. Out of the Cold 3. David Busby, INFRASTRUCTURE. Youth Ministry: Investing in our youth with dynamic and diverse programs allow for formation into adult life in the church. LifeTeen and EDGE offer teens a way to connect to Christ through activities and rallies with their peers across Ontario, Canada and North America. Currently, St. John Vianney parish offers ten programs to our young parishioners ranging from the Lift Jesus Higher Rally to the St. John Vianney Day Camp. All of these programs have costs associated with their participation and financial burden for some to attend is a very real concern; but with the $200,000 allocated from our Family of Faith campaign, we can support our youth regardless of their financial ability to contribute. Music Ministry: We are fortunate to have a thriving music ministry. Together singers and musicians share a sacred responsibility to lead the responses, songs and hymns during mass as well as promoting active participation of the entire congregation in singing and quiet reflection. While it is important to maintain hymns and songs that are traditional and familiar, it is also essential that our music reflects the preferences of our multi-generational parish, and invites a broader age group to participate in this special ministry. It is in this light that we are introducing new programs. Rhythm and Rhyme is open to children and teens from Grade 3 through Grade 12 offering a progressive musical education from basic elements of rhythm and rudimentary music theory for the Cherubs in Grades 3 to 5, increasing to more hands-on guitar and drum kit exploration for the Seraphs in Grades 6 to 8 to the Heraldz; St. John Vianney's Youth Band. St. John Vianney parish is also excited to announce the formation of a theatre group to provide an additional outlet for the creative and musical outlet of sharing the good news of Christ. Social Outreach Ministry: Meeting the needs of people who are less fortunate are the challenges of our Social Outreach Ministry. Our Lay Pastoral Ministry will offer volunteers the training needed to help connect with families and provide spiritual guidance to those whose distance from the chapel prevent regular visits. Volunteers are able to meet the needs of those less fortunate through our Out of the Cold program, active David Busby partnership and toy drives. Infrastructure: In addition to offering our vibrant and growing parish new and improved programs, in order to meet the immediate needs, we will extend our east parking lot by 112 spaces. This expansion will involve extending into the current lawn and hill to make room for these new spaces. The campaign will cover the cost.

That centre—now our hall— became a symbol of the dedication and hard work of those who helped raise the funds to build our beautiful church. Over the years, our parish hall has been a focal point for ongoing community building in the form of parish social gatherings, sacramental preparation, adult education and parish organization meetings. It is important that we maintain and enhance our facilities. The hall requires a new roof and must be replaced soon. The hall also requires upgrading to ensure it is accessible to all. For that reason we will construct handicap accessible washrooms for parishioners and community members alike. Our parish's share of the campaign proceeds will allow us to proceed with these important and worthwhile projects.

Our Parish Goal: $140,000 - Amount Pledged: $47,400 (34% of goal). St. Patrick's has thrived as a parish since it was founded in 1876. Our parish has both nurtured the faith of those within it and reached out with compassion to the wider community. Each Sunday our worship gives us faith so that as a community we welcome and nurture those who are baptized, make their first Holy Communion, and receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation. We continue our relationship with God through the sacrament of Reconciliation. We begin new families through the sacrament of Marriage. When in need we experience our community's support for one another through our prayer for God's intercession, and if faced with illness, we receive the support of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Our parish is home to this rich sacramental life and hosts many youth, parish groups, and community gatherings. Our parish's share of our Family of Faith campaign will be applied in its entirety towards meeting our outstanding financial obligations to the archdiocese. With your generosity we will face the future debt free. We look forward to this exciting phase of our parish and archdiocese, remembering that we are family - brothers and sisters in Christ!

Our Parish Goal: $1,750,000 - Amount Pledged: $2,515,144 (143% of goal). There are over 3,000 active families who call St Peter’s their spiritual home. A venue for significant celebrations and a principal meeting place throughout the week, our church has been integral in fostering camaraderie. Our church building has served us well for more than 30 years but structural issues have come to light. Left unaddressed, they will only worsen. In addition, the tremendous growth in our parish community has generated the necessity for a larger gathering space. The Building Committee is recommending the renewal of our building so that it can better serve the needs of our children and future generations. The exterior brick walls are deteriorating and roof flashings are failing to repel rainwater. Our building’s electrical wiring, heating and ventilation systems must be upgraded so they meet current building code standards. With construction taking place, it is opportune to renovate our worship space, sacristy and parish offices. St Peter’s needs a larger lobby (narthex) for reasons of safety and for gathering as a community. This construction will require reconfiguring the main entrance and driveway. At the same time, we will upgrade our washrooms to ensure barrier-free access and incorporate children’s changing facilities.
