ONLINE EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM
Rescue of Jews during the Holocaust was one of most challenging of actions imaginable and done usually at the risk of one’s very life. This course will identify forms of rescue provided by Christians during the Holocaust. Participants will explore how non-Jews made moral, ethical, and compassionate choices to help Jews survive during the Holocaust. The impact of antisemitism during the World War II and now will also be covered.
This is an opportunity for everyone, and especially Catholic School educators and Youth Leaders, to learn about the great gesture and sacrifice of Christians during the Holocaust. Access to helpful resources on the Shoah will also be provided.
