Aid to the Church in Need (ACN Canada) will hold its 7th annual Red Wednesday on November 17. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and to pray for persecuted Christians, who are the most discriminated against religious group in the world. To mark this important day, ACN and the Archdiocese of Toronto are organizing a prayer vigil at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica at 7 p.m. All are welcome!

To show our solidarity with Christians who are suffering, ACN is also asking all parishes to illuminate their church with red lights in memory of martyred and suffering Christians. There are many other ways to contribute to this day, such as organizing a Mass for persecuted Christians, devoting a rosary or choosing a universal prayer to include in a celebration.
