Euthanasia Bill C-7 (2020)

The federal government has tabled Bill C-7, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medical assistance in dying), which will radically increase access to euthanasia while also removing euthanasia "safeguards."

At this time, we need Catholics to respectfully defend the sacredness of life.

To tell your MP that you are deeply concerned about Bill C-7, please visit: www.helptheliving.ca

For those involved with Parish Action groups, we hope that you can do three things:

  • Encourage your friends, family and parishioners to visit www.helptheliving.ca and tell their MP that they oppose euthanasia.
  • Ask your priest how you can incorporate www.helptheliving.ca into parish life (i.e. computers at church that people can use after Mass, bulletin announcements, working with the lay associations and so on).
  • Have a meeting with your MP where you discuss your concerns about Bill C-7.
  • Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper telling them that you oppose euthanasia.
