Lenten Day of Confessions 2024

Parish Resources

Bulletin Announcements

  • “So often, our own sins and failings seem to be an obstacle in encountering the love of our Lord, preventing us from taking the steps towards authentic and renewed conversion. Yet Jesus came not to call the righteous, but sinners. He is the Good Shepherd who seeks out the lost, the physician who comes to heal the sick. And one of his first acts after the Resurrection was to entrust to the Church the power to forgive sins in his name. Thus, in order to undergo an authentic and renewed conversion, and to encounter the Love of God, a focus on the Sacrament of Reconciliation – this most powerful encounter with divine mercy – is essential.” - Thomas Cardinal Collins. Each parish in the Archdiocese of Toronto will be holding a Day of Confessions during Lent. Confessions at our parish will be available at [insert dates, times and location].

  • "Jesus in the confessional is not a dry cleaner: it is an encounter with Jesus, who waits for us just as we are. Is going to confession like a torture session? No! It is going to praise God, because I, a sinner, have been saved by Him. And is He waiting to beat me? No, he waits with tenderness to forgive me. And if tomorrow I do the same? Go again, and go and go and go. He always waits for us.” - Pope Francis. This Lent, each parish in the Archdiocese of Toronto will be holding a Day of Confessions. Confessions at our parish will be available at [insert dates, times and location].
